V1: Made in the UK - Home Star Runner

Home Star Runner
Classic Pop Punk with Irish Charm as bright as the Leprechaun’s rainbow.

Remember the time when the Pop Punk scene was dominated by the Blink-182 and Green Day, and when Goldfinger played on the Tony Hawke’s Pro Soundtrack? Miss those days? Queue Home Star Runner.
Formed in 2004, and signed to Irish Indie Blastspace in 2006, the Dublin four piece have already made their mark on their small island. Their debut full length, Kill The Messanger, was released late 2006 and they have since shared stages with Paramore, Elliot Minor, You Me at Six, and heroes New Found Glory.
Their sound is that of the early Noughties and mirrors the Pop Punk melodies of yesteryear. The breaks and stops are upbeat and rough, the structures are edgy and refreshing, and whether it be the slow rhythmic downbeats or the jumping highs, this bands first album is far stronger than any debut is ever expected to be.
The rest of 2008 holds plenty more for Home Star Runner, and they will be spending the next few months on tour with The Story So Far and Look I’m A Ghost, and with fingers crossed they may even end the year with their own nationwide dates.
